It takes a village!
CORE @ The Camptonville Academy's vision and day-to-day operations only happens with the shared collaboration and leadership of three primary bodies: the Charter Board, the Charter Council, and the Leadership Team. The combined effort of these groups makes decisions affecting everything from textbooks, instruction to facilities.
The Camptonville Academy Board is the decision making body for CORE @ The Camptonville Academy.

The Charter Board

The Charter Board meets on a regular basis in order to develop policies, approve the budget and assist in making major governance decisions regarding the school operations. The Board is comprised of community members and parent members. All meetings are open.

Board Member Biographies

- The search for a quality educational environment meeting the goals of each student brought our family to CORE, The Camptonville Academy. The dedication of students, parents, staff and administration to Personalized Learning inspired participation on the Board. This is a very exciting time to be a TCA Board member. The Board has many important decisions to make with the growth in student population, needs, and the planning of the new Resource Center to meet those needs. It is with this in mind that I hope my many years of experience in planning, design and construction of school facilities will be an asset to the Board. It is a great honor to have the opportunity to serve our students and educational community.

- Before I retired as a Yuba County Office of Education administrator, I was involved with CORE from the initial charter through Camptonville School District. Over the years I have seen the many successes of CORE students, teachers, parents and administrators and the development of resource centers. CORE has been a collaborative partner in the community working with districts and other charter schools to provide educational choice. The personalized learning approach offers options and resources to CORE students. As a credentialed teacher K-12 and special education, I am always interested in innovation and student achievement. I am excited to be a community member on the CORE Board of Directors.

- Jan Jablecki, founder and retired Executive Director of the CORE Schools, returns to participate with CORE @ Camptonville Academy as a Board Member. Jan’s career in education spanned 25 years starting as a Spanish Teacher, a teacher in a personalized learning program and a homeschool teacher of her own children. She returned to UC Sacramento to complete her Administrative Leadership credential and was administrator for the CORE Schools for 12 years.

- Our family moved to the area in the spring of 2002 and we enrolled our two oldest children in CORE the following fall. Over the years we have had all three of our children - a son and two daughters – enrolled at CORE. I believe that homeschooling our children at CORE through these years has provided many wonderful opportunities for their educational and personal growth. Our son graduated from his high school years at CORE in 2011, and our two daughters are currently enrolled in 10th and 8th grade. I look forward to serving as a parent member of the Board of Directors and the exciting challenges and opportunities to come.

- I have been with CORE @ The Camptonville Academy since 2006. It has been fun to watch CORE evolve into the school program that it is now. I have three children enrolled at CORE, and they have all made incredible changes since we have been a part of this school. I have also served on the Site Council for two years prior to joining the School Board of Directors.
