The G.R.A.S.P.

Dissemination Project

The G.R.A.S.P. Dissemination Project was approved by the State Board of Education in March 2009. The key goals for the G.R.A.S.P. best practices dissemination project include:

Governance – The participating school receives an introduction and understanding about State and Federal law affecting the Board of Directors and Administration efforts running a school operation.  The GRASP Team interventions are intended to elevate the governance leadership’s expertise.

Renewal – The participating school receives guidance to position and prepare for a successful charter renewal that is sustainable.

Assessment – The participating school will employ successful education operations models of quality and excellence through best practices assessments.  The assessments discover what you are doing well and introduce ways to improve the school’s performance through process improvements.

Strategic and (Action) Planning – The participating school receives facilitation for strategic planning and implements best practices through an Action Plan for school operation process improvements correlated to elevating student achievement and learning.

CORE @ The Camptonville Academy (TCA) has assembled and expert team to disseminate best practices as part of a State grant.  The project will run over two years providing to the participation schools enough time to create a program improvement process that reflects a lasting benefit to schools facing charter renewal.  The dissemination process fills the information vacuum when Sponsors question what the charter school is doing by demonstrating objectively its value to the community through proven methods that improve schools and accountability.
